Hepatitis B is a serious viral infection that affects millions of people worldwide. It is caused by the Hepatitis B Virus (HBV), which can lead to liver damage, cirrhosis, and liver cancer. Anti-HBs (Hepatitis B Surface antibody) is an essential antibody that the immune system develops against the surface antigen (HbsAg) of the HBV. It binds with the surface antigen and neutralizes the virus, preventing future infections.
There are two ways to develop immunity or antibodies against Hepatitis B. The first is through vaccination, where the body produces antibodies against the virus, providing lifelong protection. The second way is natural immunity, where the body develops antibodies against the virus after being infected. However, these antibodies are more protective in nature and cannot eradicate the virus or its proteins completely.
In order to achieve vaccination-like protection for a person who is already infected, the infection has to be cured. This is where the H M Foundation’s treatment comes into play.
